Rajendra Prasad Goyal has retired from NHPC Limited as Chairman and Managing Director after reaching superannuation on August 31, 2025. His exit also marks the end of his tenure as Director Finance and CFO.

NEW DELHI, September 1, 2025 — NHPC Limited has announced that Rajendra Prasad Goyal has ceased to be the Chairman & Managing Director, Director (Finance), and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company. His tenure ended on August 31, 2025, upon reaching the age of superannuation.

 

The public sector hydropower company disclosed the information in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The departure of Goyal, who held three key leadership positions, marks a significant change at the top management of NHPC. The company is expected to announce its new leadership soon.
