NMDC Q1 results: PAT rises 2% to Rs 2,007 crore, revenue at Rs 6,795 crore
NMDC posted Q1 FY27 PAT of Rs 2,007 crore as revenue reached Rs 6,795 crore, supported by higher iron ore output and realisation year on year.

NMDC Q1 results showed profit after tax rising 2% year on year to Rs 2,007 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, the state-owned miner said in an investor presentation filed with BSE on August 14. Revenue from operations increased 2% to Rs 6,795 crore from Rs 6,634 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.
Total income advanced 3% to Rs 7,142 crore, compared with Rs 6,932 crore a year earlier. Profit before tax increased 2% to Rs 2,692 crore from Rs 2,644 crore. EBITDA was Rs 2,817 crore, up 1% from Rs 2,777 crore, while the presentation showed an EBITDA margin of 41%, unchanged from the year-ago quarter.

Physical performance strengthened during the quarter. Iron ore production rose 26% to 151.17 lakh tonnes from 119.94 lakh tonnes, which NMDC described as its best-ever first-quarter production. Sales increased 2% to 117.30 lakh tonnes from 115.17 lakh tonnes, also identified as the company's best first-quarter sales performance.
Realisation improves; sequential revenue moderates
Average domestic iron ore realisation increased 4% year on year to Rs 5,548 per tonne from Rs 5,353 per tonne. Iron ore sales revenue stood at Rs 6,508 crore, up 6% from Rs 6,165 crore, while other sales declined to Rs 287 crore from Rs 469 crore.
On a sequential basis, revenue from operations fell 39% from Rs 11,173 crore in Q4 FY26, while PAT eased 1% from Rs 2,020 crore. Production declined 7% quarter on quarter and sales fell 23%, although average domestic realisation improved 17% from Rs 4,759 per tonne.
