Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has fixed September 30, 2026, as the record date for determining shareholders eligible to receive its final dividend for the financial year 2025-26, the state-owned steelmaker said in a BSE filing dated August 21, 2026.

The company’s board had recommended a final dividend of Rs 2.35 per equity share at its meeting held on May 15, 2026. The dividend applies to shares with a face value of Rs 10 each and represents 23.50% of the company’s paid-up equity share capital.

The payout remains subject to approval by shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. Investors should note that the record date establishes eligibility for the dividend and is separate from the payment timeline.

Eligibility and payment timeline

Shareholders whose eligibility is determined as of Wednesday, September 30, 2026, will be entitled to receive the final dividend, provided the proposal is approved at the AGM.

SAIL said the approved dividend will be paid, subject to tax deducted at source, within 30 days from the date on which shareholders approve it. The filing did not specify a separate fixed payment date.
