Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance from East Coast Railway for an order valued at Rs 161,02,45,230.24, the state-owned company said in a BSE filing on August 20, 2026. The RVNL East Coast Railway order is to be executed within 18 months.

The disclosure, made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, followed RVNL’s earlier communication dated May 20, 2026. The company said the work was awarded by a domestic entity and formed part of its normal course of business.

Scope of the East Coast Railway work

The contract covers the provision of MSDAC to improve reliability in the automatic block signalling section from MZY to KUR and at RJGR, JRZ, SSPR, DNKL, HND and TLHD stations in the Khurda Road division of East Coast Railway.

The project also involves alterations to electronic interlocking systems from multiple suppliers at specified stations. These include Hitachi Rail STS India equipment at BBS and MEDHA Servo Drives systems at HND, BBSN, MCS and TLHD.

  • Siemens Rail Automation WESTRACE MK-II systems are covered at RJGR, SSPR, DNKL, MZY, GJTA, CBT, SQQ, NRG and CTC.
  • WESTRACE MK-I systems are included at BRAG and RTN.
  • KYOSAN equipment is covered at JRZ station.

The filing lists the contract terms under the General Conditions of Contract and classifies both the awarding entity and the work as domestic.

Disclosure on promoter interest and related parties

RVNL stated that its promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in the entity awarding the contract. It also confirmed that the order does not fall within related-party transactions.

The company submitted these details under the applicable SEBI master circular dated January 30, 2026. RVNL’s BSE scrip code is 542649, while its NSE symbol is RVNL.
