National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL) said in a BSE filing on August 12, 2026, that its board recommended a final dividend of Rs 1.04 per equity share for FY 2025-26. The payout represents 10.40% of the share's Rs 10 face value and remains subject to shareholder approval at the company's 52nd Annual General Meeting.

The PSU's consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, stood at Rs 113.38 crore, compared with a net loss of Rs 39.44 crore in the year-ago quarter. Consolidated profit before tax was Rs 137.81 crore against a loss of Rs 52.08 crore a year earlier.

Standalone profit also returns

On a standalone basis, revenue from operations increased 27.3% year on year to Rs 4,500.39 crore from Rs 3,534.17 crore. Total income rose 27.3% to Rs 4,511.82 crore from Rs 3,543.08 crore.

Standalone profit before tax was Rs 95.34 crore, reversing a year-ago loss of Rs 44.74 crore. Net profit after tax reached Rs 70.91 crore compared with a loss of Rs 32.10 crore. Standalone earnings per share was Rs 1.45 versus a negative Rs 0.65 in the corresponding quarter.

The auditors highlighted Rs 13.41 crore of subsidy income recognised during the quarter on sales from the March 2026 closing stock of DAP and TSP. They also noted Rs 117 crore of subsidy income relating to April 2025-March 2026, recognised following the July 30, 2026 notification fixing New Energy Norms. The auditors did not modify their conclusions over these matters.

Record date and payment schedule

NFL fixed September 14, 2026 as the record date to determine shareholders eligible for the final dividend. If approved at the AGM, the dividend will be paid on or before October 21, 2026.

  • The 52nd AGM is scheduled for September 22, 2026, at 2:30 pm through video conferencing or other audio-visual means.
  • Remote e-voting will run from September 17 at 9 am to September 21 at 5 pm.
  • September 14 is also the cut-off date for voting eligibility.

The consolidated results included a Rs 42.47 crore share of profit from three joint ventures. Their interim results were reviewed by other auditors or an independent chartered accountant, and the joint statutory auditors relied on those reports. The consolidated review also drew attention to prior-period corrections at Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Limited; the auditors' conclusion was not modified.
