New Delhi, 13 August 2025: GAIL (India) Limited has received an Order-in-Original from the Joint Commissioner of Customs, Nhava Sheva, Mumbai, demanding payment of differential customs duty, along with interest, fine, and penalty.

 

The order, dated August 13, 2025, relates to the denial of a concessional duty rate benefit claimed by the company on an imported consignment. As per the disclosure made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the statutory authority has imposed a penalty of Rs 12,33,830 and a fine of Rs 9,50,000 on the company.

GAIL has confirmed that the financial impact of this order is limited to the monetary penalties specified. No further operational or strategic consequences have been reported at this stage.
