Suzlon Denies Media Reports of RS 6,000 Crore Deal with Tata Power

PUNE – Suzlon Energy Ltd. has issued a formal clarification denying recent media reports of a significant deal with Tata Power for a 700 MW wind project in Andhra Pradesh. In a letter addressed to the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and BSE Limited on August 13, 2025, the company stated that there is "no information / event that would require disclosure" under SEBI regulations regarding such a transaction at this juncture.

The clarification was prompted by an email from both exchanges seeking confirmation on the widely circulated media reports. Suzlon's response, signed by Geetanjali S. Vaidya, reassured stakeholders of the company's commitment to transparency and its adherence to the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The company promised to make all necessary disclosures "at appropriate time, if required, in terms of the regulatory requirements."

The news of the potential RS 6,000 crore deal had generated significant buzz, but Suzlon's official statement puts the rumors to rest for now. Investors and stakeholders will be closely watching for any future developments or official announcements from the renewable energy giant.
