Power Finance Corporation Ltd approved a PFC interim dividend of Rs 3.90 per equity share for FY 2026-27 at its board meeting held on August 7, 2026, the government-owned company said in a BSE filing. The dividend, representing 39%, will be subject to deduction of tax at source where applicable.

The board fixed August 27, 2026 as the record date for determining shareholders eligible to receive the interim dividend. PFC said payment would be made on or before September 6, 2026. The dates provide investors with a defined timeline for eligibility and distribution.

The company also informed the exchanges that dividend income is taxable in shareholders' hands under the amended provisions of the Income Tax Act. Accordingly, PFC is required to deduct TDS at the applicable rate. Investors should therefore consider their tax status and relevant documentation when assessing the eventual dividend amount credited to them.

Board approves June-quarter financial statements

Alongside the dividend decision, PFC's board considered and approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. It also cleared the unaudited special-purpose condensed interim financial statements on both a standalone and consolidated basis for the same quarter.

  • Unaudited standalone financial results for the June 2026 quarter
  • Unaudited consolidated financial results for the June 2026 quarter
  • Special-purpose condensed interim financial statements on both bases
  • Interim dividend of Rs 3.90 per equity share for FY 2026-27

The results and interim statements were submitted with limited review reports from the joint statutory auditors, Thakur Vaidyanath Aiyar & Co., Chartered Accountants, and Mehra Goel & Co. LLP, Chartered Accountants. The filing was made pursuant to the applicable requirements of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.

Auditors complete limited review

The independent auditors' report said the standalone statement was prepared in accordance with the recognition and measurement principles of Ind AS 34, the Companies Act, 2013, relevant rules and generally accepted accounting principles in India.

The auditors conducted their review under Standard on Review Engagements 2410. The filing followed PFC's earlier communications dated July 28 and August 4, 2026, and formally disclosed the decisions taken at the August 7 board meeting. For shareholders, the key actionable date is August 27, when eligibility for the FY 2026-27 interim dividend will be determined.
