Suzlon Energy Ltd. has secured a new 378 MW wind energy project from NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL), further strengthening what is now the company’s largest partnership in the renewable sector.

This marks Suzlon’s second major order from NGEL in less than a year. With the latest deal, Suzlon’s cumulative order volume with NTPC Green has reached 1,544 MW.

Under the new contract, Suzlon will supply 120 units of its S144 Wind Turbine Generators, each rated at 3.15 MW and equipped with Hybrid Lattice Towers. The project is slated for execution in the Gadag district of Karnataka.

In addition to supplying the turbines, Suzlon will handle foundation work, erection, and commissioning. The company will also be responsible for long-term operations and maintenance.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, highlighted the strategic importance of this collaboration: “As NGEL targets a 60 GW renewable energy portfolio by 2032, this partnership underscores the vital role of wind power in meeting that ambition and delivering affordable clean energy.”

Back in September, Suzlon had bagged its largest-ever single order of 1,166 MW from NTPC Green, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s growth.

Despite the recent announcement, Suzlon shares dipped slightly by 0.5% on Wednesday, closing at ₹59.1. The stock has risen 2% over the past month but remains down 10% so far in 2025.
