New Delhi – Petronet LNG Limited (PLL), a key player in India’s natural gas infrastructure, has signed a regasification agreement with Performance Chemiserve Limited (PCL), a group company of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL). The deal, signed on July 10, 2025, involves handling around 25.6 TBTUs of LNG annually at PLL’s Dahej terminal, Gujarat, for a tenure of 5.5 years, starting between May and July 2026 and ending December 31, 2031.

The agreement, valued at Rs 1200 crore, includes provisions for an additional 20 percent upside in revenue over the duration of the contract. The liquefied natural gas will be imported by the DFPCL group and converted to gas for use in its manufacturing facilities in Taloja.

PLL will provide receipt, storage, and regasification services from its Dahej facility, one of India’s busiest LNG terminals. The project reinforces PLL’s long-term business outlook, following its handling of around 18 MMTPA LNG in FY 2024–25 across its Dahej and Kochi terminals.

The announcement follows a previous LNG supply agreement signed between DFPCL and Equinor. With this regasification arrangement, DFPCL further strengthens its integrated energy supply chain for fertilizers, industrial chemicals, and mining inputs.

Present at the signing ceremony were Shri A. K. Singh, MD & CEO of PLL, and Shri Sailesh C. Mehta, Chairman of PCL and DFPCL.

Petronet LNG Limited was incorporated in 1998 as a joint venture promoted by four Maharatna PSUs—GAIL, ONGC, IOCL, and BPCL—each holding 12.5 percent equity. PLL contributes approximately 33 percent of India's total natural gas supply and manages 43 percent of the country's LNG regasification capacity. Its expansion plans include new capacity at Dahej and a greenfield terminal in Gopalpur, Odisha.
