The Singrauli based Coal India arm, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), signed an MoU under CSR with the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh for operation and management of District Divyaang Rehabilitation Center (DDRC) Singrauli on Wednesday. Under this MoU, NCL will provide financial assistance of RS 2.97 crore to the DDRC, to provide prosthetic limbs and various assistive devices including hearing aids, tricycles, wheelchairs, walkers, smart canes, and Braille kits to persons with disabilities in the Singrauli and Sonbhadra districts.

The MoU was signed by Shri Rajiv Ranjan, General Manager (CSR), NCL, and Shri Anurag Modi, Deputy Director of the Social Justice and Disabled Empowerment Department, Singrauli. On this occasion, District Collector, Singrauli Shri Chandrashekhar Shukla and Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Singrauli Shri Gajendra Singh Nagesh and other officials from NCL were present. It is hereby noted that NCL has been continuously providing support to the District Divyaang Rehabilitation Center since the year 2022 and is directly benefiting the differently-abled persons of Singrauli area.
