Equitas Small Finance Bank NCDs worth Rs 500 crore were allotted on September 25, 2026, the bank said in a BSE filing the same day. The private placement comprises 50,000 Lower Tier II bonds carrying a 9.95% annual coupon, with maturity scheduled for September 25, 2036.

Each non-convertible debenture has a face value of Rs 1 lakh and is fully paid up. The bank described the instruments as rated, listed, unsecured, subordinated, transferable and redeemable. Its annexure identifies BSE Limited as the exchange on which listing is proposed.

The allotment follows the bank’s earlier intimation dated September 16, 2026. The latest disclosure confirms completion of the allotment and sets out the interest schedule, tenure and redemption terms for the debt securities.

Annual interest schedule and ten-year tenure

The bonds have a tenure of ten years from the deemed date of allotment. The disclosed cash-flow schedule provides for annual interest payments of Rs 9,950 per debenture, beginning on September 25, 2027, and continuing through September 25, 2036.

  • Allotment date: September 25, 2026.
  • First interest record date: September 10, 2027.
  • First scheduled interest payment: September 25, 2027.
  • Subsequent interest record dates: September 10 each year through 2036.
  • Subsequent scheduled interest payments: September 25 each year through 2036.

The September 10 record dates relate to the bond interest schedule and are separate from the September 25 payment dates. These payments are coupon interest on the NCDs, rather than a dividend on the bank’s equity shares.

Redemption and security terms

The redemption terms specify bullet repayment at par on September 25, 2036. The stated redemption amount is Rs 1 lakh per debenture, plus any interest accrued but unpaid up to the redemption date.

As the issuance is unsecured, the bank said no charge or security has been created over its assets for these instruments. It also disclosed that no special rights, interests or privileges are attached to the bonds.

The filing was submitted under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015, and signed by Company Secretary N Ramanathan.
