Reaffirming its unwavering commitment to the holistic well-being of its employees, THDC India Limited (THDCIL), under the leadership of Chairman and Managing Director Sh R K Vishnoi, organized an informative health talk titled Celebrate the Second Innings of Life with Healthy Bones and Joints at the THDC HRD Centre in Rishikesh.
During the event, Sh R K Vishnoi emphasized that THDCIL considers its employees the most valuable asset of the organization. He highlighted that ensuring the health and wellness of employees not only during their active service but also post-retirement remains a top priority. He stated, "Our workforce has been the foundation of THDCIL's success. It is our duty to empower them with the knowledge and resources to lead healthy and fulfilling lives even after retirement."
The session was inaugurated by Director Personnel, Sh Shallinder Singh, who lit the ceremonial lamp and delivered the welcome address. He stressed the importance of musculoskeletal health, which is often overlooked in comparison to other health areas. "Through such initiatives, we promote proactive healthcare so that our colleagues can enjoy a vibrant and energetic second innings," he noted.
The event featured renowned medical experts, including Dr Nikunj Agarwal, Associate Director of Orthopedics and Joint Replacement, and Dr Sanjeev Arora, Director ENT, from Max Super Speciality Hospital in Ghaziabad. They provided vital insights on maintaining healthy bones and joints, especially as individuals approach retirement.
Approximately 60 participants attended the event and actively engaged in the discussions and Q&A sessions. Dr Agarwal addressed key health topics such as arthritis, osteoporosis prevention, balance and flexibility training, early medical interventions, and essential lifestyle changes.
The peaceful and green surroundings of the HRD Centre offered an ideal environment for the knowledge-sharing session, aligning with THDCIL's broader vision of fostering lifelong wellness and learning among its employees.
In addition to the health talk, THDCIL also hosted a health camp focused on ENT and Orthopedics at the THDC Dispensary in Rishikesh. The camp provided instant consultations, health screenings, and expert medical advice to support preventive healthcare for all employees.
