Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVN) commemorated its 38th Raising Day on May 24, organizing celebrations across all its offices and project sites in India and Nepal. The main event took place in Shimla and was inaugurated by Chairman and Managing Director Bhupender Gupta, who unfurled the SJVN corporate flag in the presence of Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma, company officials, employees, and their families.

In his address, Gupta reflected on the company's progress since its establishment. He announced that SJVN had successfully commissioned 410 megawatts of renewable energy projects since the previous Raising Day. Highlighting a recent milestone, he mentioned that the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for SJVN's 100 MW Nawa Solar Project in Rajasthan on May 22, 2025.

Gupta also shared that the company is moving forward with the commissioning of major projects, including the 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Project and the 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Project.

During the function, Gupta felicitated Director (Personnel) and the Heads of Departments at the Corporate Headquarters, acknowledging their leadership, teamwork, and organizational capabilities. Additionally, 15 employees were recognized as ‘Health Champions’ under the SJVN Employee Wellness Scheme for their commitment to promoting health and well-being within the organization.

The evening concluded with a vibrant cultural program featuring performances by popular Bollywood singers Alamgir Khan, Sujata Majumdar, Tanmay Chaturvedi, and comedian Ahsaan Qureshi, adding a festive touch to the occasion. Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma commended the dedication of employees and their families in supporting SJVN's journey of growth and excellence.
