New Delhi, July 1, 2025 – RITES Limited, a leading engineering consultancy company under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has secured a major international order from African Rail Company. The order involves the supply and commissioning of two fully overhauled in-service ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives for use in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Botswana.

This significant development was communicated through an official exchange filing in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

As per the contract details, RITES will deliver overhauled Cape Gauge ALCO locomotives fitted with new bogies, traction motors, control systems, and air braking systems. The overhaul will be conducted at a nominated facility, and the project will include warranty support and the deputation of RITES' technical team.
