RITES Ltd, the government-owned railway infrastructure consultancy, has secured a Rs 28 crore work order from Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL). The order involves providing detailed engineering and project management consultancy services for developing rail connectivity to the proposed Phase-II SILO at MCL's Lakhanpur area.

Strategic Project for MCL

In its filing to the stock exchanges, RITES confirmed the receipt of the work order, emphasizing its role in supporting the expansion of coal evacuation infrastructure in the region.

Another RS28 Crore Project from South Central Railway

Earlier in April 2025, RITES also received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) valued at Rs 28 crore from South Central Railway. This project entails the final location survey for upcoming high-speed elevated rail corridors connecting Hyderabad with Bengaluru and Chennai, highlighting RITES' growing involvement in advanced railway infrastructure.

Following these announcements, shares of RITES Ltd closed at Rs 239.15 on Thursday, down Rs 2.35 or 0.97% on the BSE.
