RCF faces 204 crore hit as Department of Fertilizers refuses to acknowledge gas used for urea production in FY22 and FY23. Company to seek reconsideration.

Mumbai – Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited has announced that the Department of Fertilizers has declined its request to recognize EPMC and spot gas used in Trombay Urea production for financial years 2021 to 2023.
The decision is expected to result in an adverse financial impact of around 204.14 crore. RCF has stated that it will once again approach the department for reconsideration, citing that the rejection goes against the intent of the gas pooling mechanism designed to ensure fair gas allocation across the sector.
The company disclosed this development in accordance with SEBI’s listing regulations and reiterated its commitment to transparent reporting and policy compliance.
