New Delhi – The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), under the Department of Personnel & Training, has announced that no candidate was recommended for the post of Director (Finance) at NMDC Limited following its selection meeting held on July 21, 2025, in New Delhi.

PESB Meeting No. 63/2025 commenced at 2:30 PM to assess eligible candidates for the strategic leadership position at the Schedule ‘A’ public sector enterprise. A total of ten senior finance professionals from various CPSEs participated in the interview process.

  • Sanjay Gupta, Group GM – Finance, NALCO

  • Himanshu Sekhar Panda, Group GM, NALCO

  • Ajay Kumar Aggarwal, GM – Finance, BSNL

  • Mohan Lal Kumawat, Executive Director (Finance – ECB & Corporate Accounts), REC Limited

Despite the diverse pool of experienced candidates, PESB did not select any applicant. The Board has advised the Administrative Ministry or Department to explore alternate selection mechanisms, such as the Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC), pending approval from the competent authority.

The outcome underscores the board’s emphasis on matching strategic positions with ideal leadership profiles and maintaining transparency in executive recruitment within the CPSE ecosystem.
