IRCON Faces Rs 72.87 Crore Arbitration Claim by M/s S A Yadav over DFC Civil Works Dispute
IRCON International Ltd has received a Rs 72.87 crore arbitration claim from M/s S A Yadav related to Western DFC Phase II civil works. The case is under arbitration and pending final decision.
IRCON International Limited, a Government of India Navratna company, has disclosed that M S A Yadav has filed an arbitration claim worth Rs 72.87 crore. The claim pertains to a dispute arising from civil construction work carried out under the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor Phase II project.
In its filing dated 10 July 2025 to both BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India, IRCON stated that the case is currently being handled by an Arbitral Tribunal. This disclosure has been made in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
As per the details provided in the enclosed Annexure A, the dispute involves the following:
Name of Work
Construction of civil works from chainage 112 plus 000 to 125 plus 000 in the Vaitarna to Sachin section of the Western DFC, under Infra Works Package SB 1-B. The scope includes earthwork, blanketing, retaining walls, minor bridges, drains, ground improvement, and road relocation.
Dispute Details
The claimant has raised issues related to cost against quantity saving, idle charges for plant and machinery, lab establishment, electricity and site expenses, additional bank guarantees, and SD charges with interest.
Financial Impact
The total quantum of the claim is Rs 72.87 crore. However, the actual financial implication will depend on the final decision of the Arbitral Tribunal.
