Engineers India Q1 results showed standalone profit after tax of Rs 1,086 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with Rs 701 million in Q1 FY26. The state-owned engineering consultancy disclosed the performance in an investor presentation filed with BSE on August 14, 2026.

Standalone total income stood at Rs 8,379.49 million, against Rs 8,921.11 million in the corresponding quarter. Revenue from consultancy operations increased to Rs 4,990.10 million from Rs 4,081.28 million, while turnkey turnover declined to Rs 3,018.58 million from Rs 4,490.20 million.

Consultancy drives segment performance

Consultancy segment profit rose to Rs 1,196.61 million from Rs 682.17 million a year earlier. Turnkey segment profit was Rs 226.65 million, compared with Rs 249.71 million. Combined segment profit consequently reached Rs 1,423.26 million versus Rs 931.88 million in Q1 FY26.

The quarterly revenue mix shifted towards consultancy, which represented 62% of consultancy-plus-turnkey turnover, while turnkey accounted for 38%. Engineers India secured standalone business worth Rs 5,136 million during the quarter, comprising Rs 3,672 million from consultancy and Rs 1,464 million from turnkey work.

Order book remains consultancy-led

The standalone order book was Rs 144,242 million as of June 2026. Consultancy assignments accounted for 73% of the total, with turnkey projects contributing 27%.

The consultancy order book comprised Rs 40,463 million of domestic work and Rs 64,518 million of overseas work. The turnkey order book stood at Rs 39,261 million.

Orders highlighted for Q1 FY27 included Rs 2,860 million of PMC and EPCM services for Dangote Fertilizer's new fertiliser plant in Ethiopia. Domestic awards listed in the presentation included an ONGC compressor-related change order valued at Rs 1,346 million, HPCL project management consultancy services worth Rs 340 million, and change orders from ONGC and Airports Authority of India valued at Rs 117 million and Rs 120 million, respectively.

Engineers India submitted the presentation under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations and said it was also available on the company's website.
