Director Technical S P Singh Inspects Key Infrastructure and Monsoon Readiness at NCL’s Dudhichua and Nigahi Projects

Shri S P Singh, Director (Technical/Project and Planning) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), conducted an inspection of the Dudhichua and Nigahi projects on Thursday to review key infrastructure developments and ongoing operational activities.
At the Dudhichua Project, Shri Singh inspected the recently completed Bridge Number 7, a vital component in the doubling of the Jayant-Dudhichua railway line. The bridge is expected to play a significant role in boosting coal dispatch efficiency, particularly for consumers in the upcountry regions.
Later, at the Nigahi Project, the Director visited the western section and assessed the progress of sump preparation works, which are crucial for effective water management during the upcoming monsoon season. He also reviewed the construction progress of the Fully Mechanized Coal Handling (FMC) project currently underway at Nigahi.
During the visits, Shri Singh provided essential directives to the project teams, placing special emphasis on safety protocols and operational efficiency. The inspections were attended by Area General Managers, Project Officers, and other senior officials from both projects, along with GM Civil, GM Electrical and Mechanical, and Technical Secretary to the Director from NCL Headquarters.
The visit underscores NCL’s commitment to infrastructure development and seasonal preparedness to ensure uninterrupted coal production and dispatch.
