The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) celebrated its 31st Foundation Day with a grand ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event witnessed the presence of Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal and Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, who lauded the Metro's vital role in transforming urban transportation in the capital.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of DMRC's Annual Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions from individuals and teams across various operational areas.

Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal praised the Delhi Metro’s remarkable daily ridership of 78 lakh, emphasizing that this number exceeds the population of several countries. He commended the Metro for its efficiency, safety, and discipline, calling it a game-changer in public transport.

Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta referred to the Metro as the “lifeline” of Delhi, noting its positive impact on commuter behavior, cleanliness, and rule-following. She highlighted the Metro’s contribution to creating a “feel good factor” among city residents.

The celebration marked a significant milestone for DMRC, reinforcing its commitment to excellence and innovation in urban mobility.
