Kolkata, 24 July 2025 — Coal India Limited (CIL), a Maharatna PSU, has issued a formal clarification concerning an erroneous communication circulated by Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) about the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) for FY 2024-25.
According to the notice addressed to both BSE and NSE, CDSL inadvertently sent emails and SMS messages to shareholders on 22 July indicating incorrect AGM e-voting dates. The depository promptly issued a corrigendum the following day, urging shareholders to disregard the previous message and confirming that accurate dates would be shared at a later time.
The letter, signed by CIL’s Company Secretary & Compliance Officer, Bijay Prakash Dubey, reassures stakeholders that the inconvenience is deeply regretted and that official AGM scheduling will follow standard protocol.
This development reflects CIL’s commitment to transparent communication and regulatory compliance, especially with investors and shareholders who rely on precise data for voting and governance activities.
