BEML Declares Second Interim Dividend of Rs 15 Per Share Sets Record Date

State-owned BEML Limited has announced a second interim dividend of Rs 15 per equity share (150 percent) for the financial year 2024–25. The face value of each share is Rs 10. The record date for this dividend has been fixed as May 15, 2025, according to the company's exchange filing on Friday.
In the previous fiscal year, BEML had declared a total dividend of Rs 35.50 per share.
Financial Performance
Despite weaker financial results in the December quarter, a reduction in operating expenses supported BEML's performance. The company reported a sharp decline in net profit, which dropped by nearly half to Rs 24.4 crore compared to Rs 48.2 crore in the same quarter last year.
Revenue for the quarter came in at Rs 876 crore, down 16.3 percent from Rs 1047 crore in the corresponding period last year.
However, BEML saw an improvement in operational efficiency. The company's EBITDA rose by 8 percent year-on-year to Rs 60.6 crore. Margins expanded to 7 percent from 5.4 percent a year ago, marking a growth of 160 basis points.
The margin improvement was driven by lower other expenses and reduced employee benefit costs during the quarter.
Stock Performance
As of Friday, BEML shares were trading 0.82 percent higher at Rs 3038.60 on the stock exchange. However, the stock has declined by over 26 percent so far in 2025.
