South Indian Bank voluntary retirement proceedings for senior executive Sivaraman K will take effect after the closure of office hours on September 5, 2026, the lender said in a BSE filing on August 21, 2026. Sivaraman is the bank’s Senior General Manager and Head of Banking Operations Group.

The Thrissur-headquartered bank disclosed the change in senior management under Regulation 30 and other applicable provisions of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. South Indian Bank said it accepted his voluntary retirement notice on August 21, 2026.

Sivaraman opted to retire voluntarily on personal grounds and to pursue opportunities outside the bank. He is currently serving the notice period prescribed under his employment terms, according to the exchange disclosure.

Leadership continuity addressed

South Indian Bank said sufficient leadership and oversight are available internally, placing it in a position to maintain continuity in managing the requirements of Sivaraman’s role. The filing did not identify a successor or announce a fresh appointment for the Banking Operations Group.

  • The voluntary retirement notice was accepted on August 21, 2026.
  • September 5, 2026, will be his last working day under the applicable employment terms.
  • The retirement becomes effective after the closure of office hours that day.
  • The stated reasons are personal grounds and the pursuit of other opportunities outside the bank.

The lender classified the development as a change in senior management personnel. As the disclosure concerns a cessation rather than an appointment, details relating to an appointee’s profile, term and relationships with directors were marked as not applicable in the filing’s annexure.

Disclosure submitted to stock exchanges

The bank submitted the intimation to BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India. South Indian Bank trades under BSE scrip code 532218 and NSE symbol SOUTHBANK.

Company Secretary Jimmy Mathew signed the communication dated August 21, 2026. The filing said the required particulars were provided in Annexure I, while the notice received from Sivaraman was enclosed as Annexure II.

The bank also said the information would be hosted on its corporate website. The disclosure was made pursuant to the applicable SEBI listing regulations and the cited SEBI master circular dated January 30, 2026.
