PESB Recommends Varun Kumar Shukla for Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Salts Limited

NEW DELHI, In a key decision to bring in new leadership for a public sector company, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Shri Varun Kumar Shukla for the role of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Hindustan Salts Limited. This recommendation followed a meeting held today, Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Shukla, who is currently a General Manager at Richardson & Cruddas(1972) Limited, was chosen from a group of seven candidates interviewed for the position. During this meeting, labeled Minute No. 1 of PESB Meeting No. 82/2025, the board carefully assessed the experience and qualifications of each applicant.

Limited Shri Hema Raju K, Assistant General Manager, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited Shri Rajesh Debnath, Commodore Director, Defence Research and Development The selection of Shukla, a General Manager, showcases the board's preference for his specific experience and vision for leading Hindustan Salts Limited, a Schedule C company. The recommendation will now go to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval.
