IRCON International Limited (NSE: IRCON, BSE: 541956), a leading public sector infrastructure company under the Ministry of Railways, has announced a significant leadership addition. Shri Vijender Singh, a seasoned officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), 1996 batch, has been appointed as Executive Director (Works), effective August 11, 2025.
The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors upon the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Singh joins IRCON on deputation from the Ministry of Railways.
Shri Vijender Singh brings nearly three decades of expertise in railway engineering and infrastructure development. His impressive portfolio includes pivotal roles in the Jammu-Udhampur New Rail Link Project, station redevelopment projects, construction of multiple Road Over Bridges (RoBs) and Road Under Bridges (RUBs), and the development of major railway bridges. He has also served as Senior Division Engineer and Senior Division Engineer/C in Delhi Division, managing one of the largest divisions in Indian Railways.
Industry analysts see this appointment as a strategic decision to strengthen IRCON’s execution capacity in large-scale rail and infrastructure projects. Singh’s extensive hands-on experience in mega railway initiatives is expected to accelerate project delivery timelines and bolster operational excellence.
