HOC Statutory Auditor Appointment: CAG Reappoints Balan & Co for FY 2026-27
HOC said the CAG has reappointed Kochi-based Balan & Co as statutory auditor for FY 2026-27, including audit of its consolidated financial statements.

Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd (HOC) announced its statutory auditor appointment in a BSE filing on September 8, 2026, stating that the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has reappointed M/s Balan & Co, Chartered Accountants, Kochi for the financial year 2026-27.
The appointment was made through a CAG letter dated September 7, 2026, which HOC said it received on September 8. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations.
Audit mandate for FY 2026-27
Balan & Co will serve as HOC's statutory auditor for FY 2026-27. The firm will also audit the company's consolidated financial statements for the same year, HOC said.

CAG appointment process
Under Section 139(5) of the Companies Act, 2013, the CAG appoints statutory auditors for such government companies. HOC said the appointment of Balan & Co follows this process.
According to the filing, Balan & Co is a chartered accountant firm with its main office in Kochi. The company reported that disclosure of relationship between directors was not applicable.
