Hindustan Copper Limited Welcomes Shri RVN Vishweshwar as New Director (Finance)

Mumbai, 25 July 2025. In a notable move within the Indian public sector, Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, announced the appointment of Shri RVN Vishweshwar as Director (Finance) on its Board.

 

According to the official notice under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, Shri Vishweshwar’s appointment was confirmed by the Ministry of Mines through Order No. Met3-10/1/2024-METAL III dated 25th July 2025. He is moving from his position as Executive Director (Corporate Finance & Treasury) at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), bringing extensive experience in financial management.

 

 

His time at HCL will start from when he takes charge and is set to last until his retirement on 31st July 2029, or until further notice. At the time of this announcement, Shri Vishweshwar has not yet taken charge, and the company will provide more details after his formal induction.

 

 

HCL, listed under BSE Code 513599 and NSE Symbol HINDCOPPER, shared this news with both BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. This move emphasizes transparency and compliance in corporate governance.

Shri RVN Vishweshwar’s financial journey began in 2007 when he joined Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as Chief Manager (Treasury), where he managed daily foreign exchange flows exceeding $100 million. He played a critical role in administering employee benefit funds, including Provident Fund, Pension, and Gratuity schemes.

Over time, he advanced through key roles—from overseeing SAP (FICO) system integration and managing taxation frameworks, to driving digital transformation within IOCL's finance operations. By February 2024, he was serving as Executive Director (Corporate Finance & Treasury), leading high-level financial planning, budgeting, and mobilization of both Rupee and foreign currency funding. His cumulative experience and strategic foresight have now led him to Hindustan Copper Limited as Director (Finance), where he is poised to strengthen financial agility and transparency in India’s mineral sector.
