Engineers India Independent Directors: Kahuli Sema, Ashish Kumar Gupta Appointed
Engineers India will appoint Kahuli Sema and Ashish Kumar Gupta as independent directors for three years after government approval.

New Delhi: Engineers India independent directors Kahuli Sema and Ashish Kumar Gupta have been approved for appointment to the company’s board, Engineers India Limited said in a BSE filing on August 13, 2026. The company informed the exchanges after receiving a communication from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.
The ministry’s letter, dated August 12, 2026, conveyed that the competent authority had approved the appointment of Kahuli Sema and Ashish Kumar Gupta as non-official independent directors. Engineers India received the communication by email at 7:42 pm on the same date, according to the filing.
Three-year board tenure approved
Both appointees have been approved for a period of three years, effective from the date of the ministry’s communication, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Kahuli Sema: Non-official independent director
- Ashish Kumar Gupta: Non-official independent director
- Approved tenure: Three years from the communication date or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier
The appointments follow the approval communicated by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas through its letter No. CA-31033/1/2026-PNG (55708).
Company completing appointment formalities
Engineers India said it is in the process of completing the necessary formalities for appointing the two directors. The company added that further information required under the SEBI Listing Regulations would be submitted separately.
The disclosure was addressed to both BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India. Engineers India trades under BSE scrip code 532178 and the NSE symbol ENGINERSIN. Company Secretary and Compliance Officer S.K. Padhi signed the exchange communication.
The present filing is therefore limited to the government’s approval, the names and proposed roles of the appointees, the tenure terms, and the company’s ongoing completion of formalities. Additional regulatory particulars were not included and are expected through a separate filing.
