BHEL Appoints New Senior Management, Announces Retirements

New Delhi, September 25, 2025 – Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced significant changes to its senior management team, effective today. The company has appointed two new officials to key positions, while also confirming the superannuation of two long-serving executives.

New Appointments

• Shri V. Shrinivas Rao has been named the new General Manager & Head (HBG), PS-BG II, Noida. With 33 years of service at BHEL since joining on October 12, 1992, he brings extensive experience to the role. Shri Rao holds a BE (Mechanical), M. Tech (Mechanical), and a PGDM (Financial Management). He will report directly to the Director (Power).

• Shri Ajay Kumar has been appointed the new General Manager & Head (PEM & CPC), Noida. A BHEL veteran of 35 years, having joined on August 9, 1990, Shri Kumar holds a BE in Electrical & Electronics. He will also report to the Director (Power).

Superannuations The company also announced the retirement of two senior executives, effective September 24, 2025:

• Shri Pankaj Rastogi, who served as the Executive Director (HBG), PS-BG II, Noida.

• Shri Praveen Kishore, who held the position of Executive Director (CPC), PS-HQ, Noida, with an additional charge of PS-PEM.
