THDC India Limited launches Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign with focus on clean and green festivities

Rishikesh, September 2025 – THDC India Limited (THDCIL), a leading Power Sector PSU, has reaffirmed its commitment to the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025 (SHS 2025), being observed across the nation from 17th September to 2nd October 2025. This year’s campaign, themed “Swachhotsav”, focuses on promoting clean and green festivities and encouraging zero-waste community celebrations. Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDCIL, underlined that the fortnight-long campaign is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean India, culminating on Swachh Bharat Diwas on 2nd October.

He stated that the initiative provides an opportunity to foster voluntarism, collective responsibility, and citizen participation in creating a cleaner and greener nation. He further stressed that THDCIL, through its projects and offices, will actively engage employees, stakeholders, and communities in cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, and eco-friendly practices.

As part of the programme, Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance), administered the Swachhata Pledge at the Corporate Office in Rishikesh. In his address, he urged employees to embrace personal responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and to inspire others to do the same. He also appealed to employees to dedicate one hour of voluntary service during the nationwide ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ Shramdaan scheduled on 25th September 2025. Similar pledge ceremonies were conducted simultaneously across all THDCIL projects and offices. The programme at the Corporate Office, Rishikesh, saw participation from senior officials including Dr. Amar Nath Tripathy, CGM (HR-Admin, CC), Sh. A. K. Goel, CGM (MPS & Planning), Sh. A. K. Garg, GM (Finance), Sh. M. K. Rai, GM (Procurement), Sh. Ajay Kansal, GM (Services), Sh. Harsh Kumar Jindal, GM (S&E), and Sh. R. K. Verma, GM (Commercial), along with other employees. With this proactive participation, THDCIL continues to set an example in aligning its operations with the national mission of Swachh Bharat, reinforcing its role as a socially responsible organisation dedicated to sustainable development.
