State Bank of India: SBI Q1 Results: Net Profit at Rs 21,121 Crore, Total Income at Rs 1.44 Lakh
SBI posted standalone net profit of Rs 21,121.22 crore for the June quarter; total income stood at Rs 1,43,819.15 crore, its BSE filing showed.

State Bank of India announced its SBI Q1 results on August 7, 2026, reporting a standalone net profit of Rs 21,121.22 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The public sector lender disclosed the unaudited financial results in a filing submitted to BSE after its Central Board meeting.
Standalone net profit was Rs 19,160.44 crore in the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 2025, and Rs 19,683.75 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2026. SBI's standalone total income for the latest quarter stood at Rs 1,43,819.15 crore, compared with Rs 1,35,341.55 crore in the year-ago period.
Interest earned during the quarter was Rs 1,27,896.45 crore, while other income was Rs 15,922.69 crore. The bank reported standalone operating profit before provisions and contingencies of Rs 33,529.18 crore, against Rs 30,544.47 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Consolidated profit and regulatory disclosures
On a consolidated basis, SBI reported net profit after minority interest of Rs 24,113 crore for the June 2026 quarter. The comparable figure was Rs 21,201.17 crore for the June 2025 quarter and Rs 19,642.87 crore for the March 2026 quarter. Consolidated total income stood at Rs 1,80,061.86 crore.
The bank submitted its unaudited standalone and consolidated results together with the Limited Review Report under Regulations 33 and 52 and other applicable provisions of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. SBI said the report of its Statutory Central Auditors contained an unmodified opinion.

- SBI also enclosed the security cover certificate as of June 30, 2026, covering non-convertible debt securities.
- The Central Board meeting began at 10 am, and consideration of the financial-results agenda concluded at 1:30 pm.
Capital position and government holding
SBI reported a Basel III capital adequacy ratio of 15.67% for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with 14.63% for the corresponding quarter a year earlier. Its CET 1 ratio was 11.60%, while the Additional Tier 1 ratio stood at 1.07%.
The Government of India held 55.03% of the bank's shares at the end of the reported quarter, against 56.92% in the year-ago quarter. Paid-up equity share capital, based on shares with a face value of Re 1 each, was Rs 923.06 crore. SBI's shares trade on BSE under scrip code 500112 and on the NSE under the symbol SBIN.
