Kotak Mahindra Bank investor presentation, filed with BSE on August 17, 2026, reported a 26% year-on-year rise in standalone profit after tax to ₹4,123 crore in Q1FY27, compared with ₹3,282 crore in Q1FY26. The bank submitted the presentation for scheduled meetings with institutional investors and analysts under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.

Net interest income increased 9% year on year to ₹7,928 crore, while other income rose 8% to ₹3,338 crore. Operating profit grew 10% to ₹6,131 crore as net total income expanded 9% and operating expenditure increased 8%.

The bank stated that the presentation contained no unpublished price sensitive information. It also made the filing available through its investor-relations website.

Deposits and customer assets expand

As of June 30, 2026, Kotak Mahindra Bank reported deposits of ₹5,72,820 crore, up 12% from ₹5,12,838 crore a year earlier. Customer assets increased 16% to ₹5,70,901 crore, while net advances rose 15% to ₹5,12,249 crore.

Return on assets improved to 2.14% from 1.94%, and return on equity stood at 11.98% against 10.94% in Q1FY26. The cost-to-income ratio declined to 45.6% from 46.2%. Net interest margin, however, moderated to 4.53% from 4.65%, while the CASA ratio was 40.3% compared with 40.9%.

Asset quality and capital position

Asset-quality indicators strengthened year on year, with net NPA at 0.27% as of June 30, 2026, against 0.34% a year earlier. The slippages ratio declined to 1.03% from 1.63%, while credit cost on specific provisions fell to 0.46% from 0.93%.

The bank reported a CET-I ratio of 22.4% and a capital adequacy ratio of 22.8%. Its presentation also identified focus customer segments, independent product businesses, and technology, digital and artificial intelligence as the three operating pillars of the franchise.

At the consolidated level, Kotak reported a balance sheet of ₹10.1 trillion, customer assets of ₹6.5 trillion and customer assets under management of ₹8.1 trillion as of June 30, 2026.
