Kotak Mahindra Bank ESOP allotment covered 2,85,255 equity shares issued after employees exercised an equivalent number of stock options, the private-sector lender said in a BSE filing on August 19, 2026. The shares, carrying a face value of Re. 1 each, were allotted under the Kotak Mahindra Equity Option Scheme 2015 and Kotak Mahindra Equity Option Scheme 2023.

The allotment was approved by the bank's Large Expenditure and Share Transfer and Other Matters Committee on the same date. Kotak Mahindra Bank informed BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India about the change in its equity capital.

ESOP allotment across four series

The total allotment was distributed across four series and tranches under the two employee equity option schemes. The 2023/03 series accounted for the highest number of shares, followed by the 2015/34 series.
