Karnataka Bank HUDCO Capital Gain Bonds services will now be available after the lender was empanelled as an arranger and collector for the bonds, the bank announced in a BSE filing on August 19, 2026. The empanelment enables customers to subscribe to the government-backed instruments through Karnataka Bank’s branch network.

The bank said the arrangement expands the range of investment products offered to its retail and institutional customers. Its filing was submitted under Regulation 30 and other applicable provisions of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.

Access through Karnataka Bank branches

Under the arrangement, Karnataka Bank will facilitate investments in HUDCO Capital Gain Bonds and support customers through its relationship-management and service channels. Customers can approach their nearest branch to obtain details and complete the subscription process.

Capital gain bonds provide eligible taxpayers with a route to claim tax relief on long-term capital gains, subject to the applicable statutory provisions, eligibility conditions and investment rules. Karnataka Bank described the instruments as government-backed.

The bank’s release also identified the following issuers whose capital gain bonds are facilitated by a select group of arrangers:

  • Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO)
  • Rural Electrification Corporation (REC)
  • Power Finance Corporation (PFC)
  • Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC)

With HUDCO added to its offering, Karnataka Bank joins this group of arrangers and collectors serving investors seeking access to eligible capital gain bonds.

Customers advised to check applicable terms

Karnataka Bank asked interested customers to visit their nearest branch for information on eligibility, investment limits, the subscription procedure and applicable terms and conditions. The filing did not disclose any fee income, business target, investment amount or financial impact arising from the empanelment.

The press communication was issued from the bank’s registered and head office in Mangaluru. Karnataka Bank is listed under the NSE symbol KTKBANK and BSE scrip code 532652.
