CHENNAI: The Central Government has extended the term of Shri Joydeep Dutta Roy, Executive Director of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), for another three years. The extension is effective beyond October 20, 2025, or until further notice, whichever comes first.
The decision was announced in a notification issued by the government on September 15, 2025. This move is based on the powers granted under the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970.
Shri Roy's re-appointment ensures continuity in the bank's top leadership as it continues to execute its strategies and growth plans. The information was disclosed to the stock exchanges as per Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements.
