Punjab Kings have officially confirmed their place in Qualifier 1 of the 2025 Indian Premier League with a commanding seven-wicket win over Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Chasing a target of 185, opener Priyansh Arya delivered another standout performance, scoring 62 runs off 35 balls. Josh Inglis played a match-winning knock of 73 runs in just 42 deliveries, effectively taking the game away from Mumbai. Captain Shreyas Iyer, batting at number four, wrapped up the chase in the 19th over with a six off Trent Boult, finishing unbeaten on 26 from 16 balls.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians posted a total of 184 for 7, thanks to a steady innings by Suryakumar Yadav who scored 57 off 39 balls. The opening partnership between Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma produced 45 runs in 5.1 overs, but the middle order struggled to accelerate. Contributions from Hardik Pandya and Naman Dhir added some late runs. Arshdeep Singh was the pick of the bowlers for PBKS, finishing with figures of 2 for 28.
