Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) scripted history on Tuesday, June 3, by winning their first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) title. The thrilling six-run win against Punjab Kings in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad not only ended RCB's long wait for a trophy but also turned into a dream come true for Jitesh Sharma.
The RCB wicketkeeper-batter shared an emotional post after the victory, revealing how he had envisioned this very moment months ago. When he joined the RCB squad in March, Jitesh was encouraged to manifest a goal for himself or the team. His wish was simple but heartfelt – to lift the IPL trophy with Virat Kohli on one side and Dinesh Karthik on the other.
Following the final win, Jitesh posted a photo capturing that exact vision, standing between Kohli and Karthik with the IPL trophy in hand.
"Power of Manifestation – Holding the IPL Trophy with Virat bhai on the left and DK Anna on the right," Jitesh wrote on Instagram. "When I joined the RCB team in March, I was asked to manifest something for myself or the team, and this is what I wrote. So happy to see this come true."
Jitesh played a key role in RCB's successful campaign. He scored 261 runs from 11 innings at an impressive average of 37.28 and a blistering strike-rate of 176.35.
His standout performance came during a high-pressure league game against Lucknow Super Giants on May 27. Leading RCB as a stand-in captain, Jitesh delivered an unbeaten 85 off just 33 balls, guiding the team to their highest-ever successful run chase of 228 runs.
That innings proved pivotal, helping RCB secure a top-two finish in the points table. The momentum carried them forward, as they beat Punjab Kings comfortably in Qualifier 1 at Mullanpur. In the final, they repeated the feat, once again defeating Punjab Kings to claim the coveted title.
For Jitesh Sharma, the triumph was more than just a cricketing achievement – it was a dream fulfilled through belief, effort, and the power of manifestation.
