Amid heightened security developments, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level meeting with senior officials and secretaries from key ministries to assess the country’s preparedness and enhance coordination among various arms of the government.
The focus of the meeting was to ensure seamless inter-ministerial coordination, resilient operational systems, and a unified government response to the evolving situation.
The Prime Minister directed all ministries to review internal operations and make sure that critical systems remain fully functional. He emphasized the importance of efficient emergency responses, robust internal communication protocols, and clear chains of command across departments.
Each ministry presented its preparedness strategy, highlighting a whole-of-government approach to managing any potential fallout from the current geopolitical tensions.
The discussions covered several crucial areas:
Strengthening civil defence frameworks
Combating misinformation and fake news
Securing critical infrastructure
Enhancing coordination with state governments and local authorities
