MOIL manganese ore production rose to 1.81 lakh tonnes in September 2026 from 1.52 lakh tonnes a year earlier, the government enterprise said in a BSE filing dated October 3, 2026. The company also reported higher manganese ore sales for the month in its provisional business figures for FY2026-27.

September sales stood at 1.64 lakh tonnes, compared with 1.42 lakh tonnes in September 2025. Both operating measures therefore exceeded their corresponding year-earlier levels, with production remaining above sales during the reporting month.

The disclosure covers monthly performance for September as well as cumulative production and sales up to September. MOIL submitted the figures to the BSE and National Stock Exchange under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.

September and cumulative operating figures

Cumulative manganese ore production reached 9.61 lakh tonnes in FY27 up to September, compared with 9.44 lakh tonnes in the corresponding FY26 period. Cumulative sales increased to 7.78 lakh tonnes from 7.10 lakh tonnes.

The cumulative figures show that sales increased more than production in absolute tonnage against the corresponding previous-year period. Production nevertheless remained higher than sales across the cumulative reporting period, as it did in September alone.

FY27 production target at 25.85 lakh tonnes

MOIL stated a production target of 25.85 lakh tonnes for FY2026-27. The cumulative output disclosed up to September forms part of that full-year target; the filing separately identifies actual production and the annual target.

All monthly and cumulative production and sales numbers in the disclosure are provisional. They represent manganese ore volumes, with the filing expressing the operating data in lakh metric tonnes.
