PM Modi Begins Two Day Gujarat Visit and Inaugurates Projects Worth Rs 82000 Crore
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started his two day visit to Gujarat, his first visit to the state following Operation Sindoor. The visit includes major development activities across several districts aimed at boosting infrastructure, transport, and public services.
PM Modi began his tour in Dahod by inaugurating the Loco Manufacturing Shop and Rolling Stock Workshop. He also laid the foundation for multiple railway and government projects worth Rs 24000 crore and addressed a public gathering in Kharod.
As part of the visit, the Prime Minister flagged off the Somnath to Ahmedabad Vande Bharat train. He also inaugurated a railway production unit in Dahod, developed at a cost of over Rs 21000 crore under the Make in India initiative.
In the water supply sector, PM Modi launched four group water supply schemes built at a cost of Rs 181 crore. These projects aim to provide clean drinking water to over 4.6 lakh people in 193 villages and one town across Mahisagar and Dahod districts.
Later, the Prime Minister will visit Bhuj to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth more than Rs 53000 crore. These include key infrastructure projects at Kandla Port, solar power plants, road development, and power transmission systems. The projects will benefit districts such as Kutch, Jamnagar, Amreli, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Ahmedabad, Tapi, and Mahisagar.
The visit will conclude with roadshows in Vadodara, Bhuj, and Ahmedabad as part of the government’s outreach and development push.
These initiatives reflect a strong focus on economic growth, infrastructure modernization, and improved public services across Gujarat.
