The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has released the 34th Monthly CPGRAMS Report for May 2025, highlighting progress in grievance redressal mechanisms across various States and Union Territories. This edition features four impactful success stories that underscore the commitment of public authorities to resolve citizen complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
1. GST Registration Approved for MSME Entrepreneur
Shri Rajesh Choudhary faced prolonged delays in obtaining GST registration for his MSME startup. Despite responding to all departmental queries, his application was rejected multiple times over three months. This delay led to financial setbacks, as clients required a valid GST number to initiate business deals. Frustrated by the lack of transparency, he submitted a grievance on the CPGRAMS portal. Prompt action followed, and after a detailed review, the GST registration was approved and a GST number was issued, effectively resolving the issue.
2. Faulty Power Connection Fixed in Bareilly
Shri Pawan Rajput from Rajendra Nagar, Bareilly, experienced frequent power outages due to a faulty electrical connection. Although he lodged several complaints via the electricity helpline, the problem persisted with no resolution. Turning to CPGRAMS, he filed a grievance that led to swift intervention by local authorities. The faulty connection was inspected and repaired, bringing reliable power supply back to the area within 15 days.
3. Sanitation and Mosquito Control Measures Taken in Prayagraj
In Ainuddinpur, Kareli, Prayagraj, Shri Faiz Mohammad Ayyub raised concerns over stagnant water and overgrown weeds around his residence, which led to a mosquito infestation and increased risk of snakes. He submitted a grievance on the CPGRAMS portal requesting area cleaning and pest control. Authorities responded by clearing the overgrown vegetation, draining the water, and spraying mosquito repellent. The timely action restored sanitary conditions and safety for local residents.
4. Electricity Line Relocated in Vadodara
Smt. Shakraben Ratilal Solanki from Umrai, Vadodara, faced a halt in construction work due to an electricity line that ran directly over her property. Despite repeated requests, no action was taken, and she was asked to bear relocation costs. She filed a grievance through CPGRAMS, which prompted a quick review by officials. The power line was promptly shifted to a nearby pole, resolving her issue without additional cost.
These cases reflect the growing effectiveness of the CPGRAMS platform in ensuring responsive governance and citizen-centric administration
