New Delhi, India — In a move aimed at optimizing government-owned land and enhancing infrastructure, NBCC (India) Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Posts (DoP) for the redevelopment of land parcels across India on a self-sustainable model.
The MoU was signed by Shri Parimal Sinha, Deputy Director General (Estates & MM), Department of Posts, and Shri Pradeep Sharma, Executive Director (Business Development), NBCC, in the presence of Director General, Department of Posts, CMD NBCC, Director (Commercial) NBCC, and other senior officials from both organizations.
This strategic collaboration will focus on efficient and sustainable redevelopment of underutilized or vacant land assets owned by the postal department. The model is expected to generate revenue, improve infrastructure, and ensure optimal land use while maintaining environmental and financial sustainability.
Officials from NBCC highlighted the significance of this partnership in supporting the Government of India’s asset monetization and smart urban development goals, while the Department of Posts emphasized the potential to enhance operational efficiency through upgraded infrastructure.
This MoU marks another milestone in NBCC’s continued efforts to drive infrastructure modernization for government agencies, leveraging its vast expertise in redevelopment, engineering, and project management.
