Both entities are step-down subsidiaries of Wipro. The company said it received intimation of the merger’s completion on October 3, 2026, distinguishing the date of receipt from the transaction’s effective date.

Wipro stated that the transaction was undertaken to rationalize and consolidate the overall group structure. The disclosure identifies Wipro IT Services as the entity into which the VLSI design services business has merged.
