L&T wins mega orders for its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business across India, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, according to its BSE filing dated October 5, 2026. Larsen & Toubro said the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts cover infrastructure to strengthen power transmission and enable renewable energy evacuation.

The company classified the orders as ‘Mega’, corresponding to ₹10,000 crore to ₹15,000 crore under its disclosed order classification framework. The release did not disclose an exact combined contract value or separate values for the individual projects.

The overseas contracts cover transmission and substation work in Saudi Arabia, along with substations and associated cabling in the UAE. The Indian order involves a transmission system for a private sector developer in Visakhapatnam.

Project scope across three markets

  • Saudi Arabia: PT&D secured orders in the 380 kV transmission and substation segments. These projects will augment transmission capacity, support renewable energy evacuation and facilitate the integration of renewable energy into the grid.
  • United Arab Emirates: The business won an order to construct 132/11 kV substations and undertake associated cabling works.
  • India: A leading private sector developer awarded L&T an order to set up a transmission system comprising transmission lines and substations in Visakhapatnam. The release did not identify the developer.

The disclosed scope spans transmission lines, substations and cable infrastructure. L&T did not provide project completion schedules in the supplied release.

PT&D execution capabilities

Joji Sebastian, Executive Vice President & Head–PT&D at L&T, said the wins demonstrated the breadth of the business’s engineering and execution capabilities across geographies. He cited growing demand for grid strengthening, renewable energy integration and associated infrastructure, and said the business draws on its technology, project execution expertise and global presence to serve clients.

L&T’s PT&D business provides integrated services from design, manufacture and supply through installation and commissioning. Its portfolio includes transmission lines, substations, underground cable networks, distribution networks, power quality improvement and infrastructure electrification projects.
