Greaves Cotton Ltd’s subsidiary Greaves Electric Mobility launched the Ampere Nexus EX+ on October 5, 2026, according to a press release shared in a BSE filing. The electric scooter starts at Rs 1,29,999 and adds a more powerful motor, an IP65-rated water-resistant charger and an optional IoT-enabled connectivity suite called Intellipack.

The launch offers buyers two variants on the Nexus platform. The Nexus EX+ with Intellipack is priced at Rs 1,35,999, while the lower-priced version provides an alternative without the connected ownership package. Both variants come in Carbon Knight and Steel Grey colours. The company said the scooter will be available across Ampere dealerships nationwide.

Motor upgrade and connected features

The new 5 kW motor produces peak torque of 202 Nm at the wheel and enables acceleration from 0–40 kmph in 4.5 seconds, according to the company. Greaves Electric Mobility said the upgrade improves pick-up and gradeability for steep climbs, flyovers, hilly roads and load-bearing use.

Intellipack operates through the Ampere Connect App, which the company said offers more than 30 intelligent features. The connectivity suite includes:

  • Live tracking, geo-fencing, Find My Scooter and turn-by-turn navigation.
  • Real-time charging status, charging history, energy insights and a battery health score.
  • Remote vehicle diagnostics, trip reports, ride statistics and service booking.

The IP65-rated charger adds water resistance. Managing Director Vikas Singh said the changes address everyday riding needs, including pillion travel and use across varied terrain and weather conditions.

Battery life and warranty

The Nexus EX+ uses LFP battery technology that the company says is designed for a battery life of 2,00,000 km. That design claim is separate from the scooter’s stated 5-year/75,000 km battery warranty.

Greaves Electric Mobility positioned the battery’s intended lifespan and lower everyday running costs as ownership benefits for customers switching from petrol scooters. The release did not provide a quantified running-cost comparison.

Greaves Cotton submitted the subsidiary’s launch release to BSE and the National Stock Exchange. The parent company trades under BSE code 501455 and NSE symbol GREAVESCOT.
