C.E. Info Systems: MapmyIndia HD Maps Integrate With MathWorks Tools for Indian ADAS Validation
MapmyIndia and MathWorks are integrating HD maps with simulation tools to help automotive engineers test driver assistance systems for Indian road conditions.

C.E. Info Systems Ltd, which operates MapmyIndia Mappls, disclosed a collaboration with MathWorks to accelerate validation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for Indian roads in a BSE filing on 5 October 2026. MapmyIndia HD maps integrate with MathWorks software to help automotive engineers simulate local driving conditions and begin testing systems earlier in development.
The collaboration connects high-definition mapping data with MATLAB, Simulink and RoadRunner workflows. Engineering teams can use the integration to create digital twins of Indian road environments, simulate complex traffic scenarios and test ADAS controllers within a Model-Based Design environment.
The Bengaluru-datelined release identifies dense and mixed traffic, variable lane behaviour, diverse road infrastructure and changing road layouts as distinct challenges for engineers developing driver assistance systems for India.
Maps capture Indian road features for simulation
MapmyIndia’s HD maps provide lane-level road geometry, traffic controls and detailed road attributes. The release highlights India-specific features that help engineers represent conditions encountered on actual roads:
- Speed breakers and potholes.
- Faded lane markings.
- Localised road attributes alongside lane geometry and traffic controls.
Sapna Ahuja, President Automotive business and Chief Operating Officer at MapmyIndia Mappls, said developing ADAS for India requires more than adapting models designed for structured traffic environments. She said the collaboration enables engineers to simulate Indian driving conditions and validate systems earlier.
The integration connects MapmyIndia’s location intelligence with MathWorks workflows for simulation, algorithm development and validation. According to the release, this supports automotive teams working on ADAS solutions specifically for the Indian market.
Earlier virtual testing of ADAS algorithms
Vijayalayan R., Senior Manager – Automotive at MathWorks, said virtual validation is becoming essential as automotive teams expand ADAS development for India. He said the integrated tools allow engineers to test algorithms earlier, reduce reliance on costly physical testing and improve system performance before deployment on Indian roads.
C.E. Info Systems submitted the release under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The company trades under BSE code 543425 and NSE symbol MAPMYINDIA. Its offerings include digital maps, geospatial software and location-based IoT products, platforms, solutions and APIs.
