President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Uttarakhand for three days from June 19 to 21, during which she will launch several key civic and cultural initiatives in Dehradun. Her visit will include the inauguration of important infrastructure projects and participation in public and educational events.
On June 19, the President will inaugurate an amphitheatre at Rashtrapati Niketan in Dehradun. She will also lay the foundation stones for new staff quarters, stables, and barracks within the campus.
The following day, June 20, President Murmu will formally open Rashtrapati Niketan for public visits. She will also inaugurate new visitor amenities, including a Facilitation Centre, Cafeteria, and Souvenir Shop. In addition, she will open Rashtrapati Tapovan and lay the foundation for Rashtrapati Udyan. Both Rashtrapati Niketan and Rashtrapati Tapovan will be accessible to the public from June 24.
Later that day, the President will visit the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities in Dehradun. During her visit, she will attend an exhibition, explore a model school science lab, and interact with students. In the evening, she will release a commemorative postage stamp to mark 125 years of Raj Bhavan in Nainital.
On June 21, President Murmu will participate in a mass yoga demonstration at the State Police Line Maidan in Dehradun as part of the International Yoga Day celebrations.
The President’s visit highlights the government’s commitment to promoting civic infrastructure, cultural heritage, and inclusive education in the state.
