CSB Bank statutory auditor appointment received shareholder approval at the lender’s 105th Annual General Meeting held on August 21, 2026, the bank said in a BSE filing the same day. Shareholders approved M P Chitale & Co, Chartered Accountants, Mumbai, as one of the bank’s joint statutory auditors.

The appointment covers a continuous period of three years, from FY 2026-27 to FY 2028-29. The firm will hold office from the conclusion of CSB Bank’s 105th AGM until the conclusion of its 108th AGM, according to the exchange disclosure.

Appointment remains subject to annual RBI approval

CSB Bank said the appointment is subject to the specific approval of the Reserve Bank of India for each financial year during the firm’s tenure. This requirement applies under Section 30(1A) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
